National Treasure; Book Of Secrets: Ben Gates (Nicholas Cage) has just learned that a missing page of John Wilkes Booth's diary has been found, and it implicates Ben's grandfather in the murder of Abraham Lincoln. Desperate to prove his grandfathers innocence, he travels the globe following clues that he hope lead to the right conclusion. The trail eventually returns to the U.S. where the uncover one of the world's most treasured secrets.
The Page Turner: A 1O-year-old gal who is committed to becoming a piano genius auditions for a music scholarship, but is turned down by the dean of the school. 10 years later she puts herself into the same ladies home, gets the family to trust her, and plans her revenge. Cast includes Catherine Frot, Deborah Francois, Pascal Gregory, Xavier de Guillebon, Christine Citi, and Jacques Bonnaffe. (85 minutes, 2006)
Faces: Highly personal drama in regards to numerous infidelities is one of the few Cassel films to become a big hit. Here's a commanding film with awesome action, particularly by Carlin and Cassel. The Man in the Iron Mask: Handsome retelling of the reliable Alexander Dumas story of a guy unreasonably imprisoned and encased in an iron mask-since his very existence challenges the reigning baron of France, the youthful, self-centered Louis XIV. The destiny of both are eventually in the hands of the aging although still enthusiastic Musketeers. It could be difficult to miss with that cast; the film is relatively enjoyable, however it does go on too long. Cast includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich, Gerard Depardieu, Peter Sarsgaard, and Hugh Laurie. (132 minutes, 1998)
Kingdom Come: A drama of a minister who uses the auspices of the temple to guard a gal on a Mafia hit list. Obviously, he falls in love with her.
